Our History

Established in Blacksburg in the late 1940s, Hillel at Virginia Tech is the heart and home of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University’s 2,000 Jewish undergraduate and graduate students. In the spirit of Virginia Tech’s Principles of Community, we affirm the inherent dignity and value of every student, regardless of their age, color, ability, gender, political affiliation, race, or sexual orientation.
