NOLA ASB 2022 - Day 1: Homecoming

Being here in New Orleans has been amazing. It's my first time being back in the city in a while and I can't wait to see my family again. Today we did our first day of working with Rebuilding Together New Orleans. While I was painting, I was thinking about my own family and how their house was lost forever due to Hurricane Katrina. I felt a great sense of pride in helping someone else out so that they can continue to live and have memories in this wonderful city. I want people to stay and live here and the best way to do this is to never stop working and helping others that are less fortunate. Rebuilding Together works to make sure houses being renovated stay in great shape so that families pass the house down for generations to come. - Jonathan Antin, Class of 2023
